It was one hour earlier than originally planned, that Dutch federal whistleblower, Huig Plug on Twitter @PlugHuig, was released from prison this morning, after six weeks of incarceration. Huig was falsely accused of death threats by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Healthcare Minister Hugo de Jonge.
Mark Rutte and Hugo de Jonge
The real reason of his arrest and imprisonment was something entirely different, though: Huig knows a lot. According to the Dutch Elite, way too much. He’s a Justice Department insider, he has worked as a prison guard and has blown the whistle on malpractice and fraud in the Prison Hospital in Scheveningen. Huig knows all the names of those who are high up and he knows what they used to do and still are doing. Besides that, this Summer Huig became the spokesperson for Lisa, a survivor of Satanic Ritual Abuse. This did not go unseen – on the contrary!
Cathy Fox has published a translation of a blog by Ella Ster about a part of Huig’s journey as a federal whistleblower, and about counter actions of the Dutch government.
And on December 16, Cathy blogged on how Huig was arrested and sentenced to prison.
It’s now December 23, the day before Christmas Eve. This morning, at 7 AM CET (1 AM Eastern), Huig was finally released. He’s stepping into a future that is uncertain, with the government still wanting to auction his apartment – but two things are clear as daylight: his spirit was not broken by the Powers That Be and he has more friends and supporters than ever!
Also I went to welcome him this morning, and these are the video’s I made.

In the video he’s telling that prisoners are mostly left to their own devices if it comes to the provision of information on their case. With his experience as a prison guard and his knowledge of the Justice system he has stood beside many of them, giving them advice on various subjects.
Before heading home, Huig wanted to see the rear side of the prison, where many of us have stood to support him… so we walked to the other side of the building.
And thus, finally, Huig could see his prison cell from the outside!
Still going strong!
What a tremendous way to start a day!
It is certain that the Netherlands has not heard the last from this man. Huig is now back with his loved ones and he will keep on battling injustice, together with his cousin Pieter and with his friends, fellow whistleblowers and supporters.
For all of them, I’d like to close with some divine encouragement – a passage from the Bible that seems to have been written for every person whose heart is yearning for Justice. At the same time, let this be a warning for those who are still trying to hide their crimes in darkness:
There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.
