Opdracht film van het tabak bureau over de tabak teelt in Deli op Sumatra in Nederlands Indië. Behalve voor de productie van tabak is er aan dacht voor de arbeiders uit diverse bevolking groepen, die door de tabak industrie naar Sumatra over gebracht zijn, en voor het leven van de Westerse directeuren en personeel.

Film commissioned by the Dutch tobacco agency about the tobacco harvest in Deli on Sumatra, in the Dutch East Indies. In addition to the production of tobacco, we also see workers from various ethnic populations, who have been moved to Sumatra by the tobacco industry, as well as the daily life of the Western managers and staff.
