“Cabiria” is an Italian Silent Film Directed by Giovanni Pastrone in 1914, Still in the Early Years of the Italian Film industry. In Addition to Being A Classic in It Self, it is Also Notable for Being the Film In Which the Character Maciste Made his Debut. The Film was Loosely Inspired by Gustave Flaubert’s Novel Salammbô and the Story of the Punic Wars. The Screenplay and Sub Titles were Written by the Famous Poet Gabriele D Annunzio. The Film was A Great Success and is Considered One of the Greatest Cinematographic Works of Italian Silent Cinema.

When She Would Be Offered in Sacrifice to the God Moloch, She is Saved by the Noble Fulvius Axilla and his Slave Maciste. Fulvius Flees Carthage and is Only Able to Return to the Island Ten Years Later, After the Punic Wars.
