LIVE: New Anti Government Demonstration hits streets of Bogota

Ruptly is Live from Bogota on Wednesday, May 12, as Demonstrators take to the streets to demand Government Action to tackle Poverty, Police Violence and Inequalities in Healthcare and Education Systems.

In the past few weeks, dozens of people were killed and hundreds injured as a wave of Protests swept across Colombia starting on April 28 in the wake of a proposed, but now withdrawn, Tax Reform.

Similar Demonstrations against President Ivan Duque’s Administration have been taking place since the end of 2019 over a variety of grievances, including Corruption and Unemployment, as well as Indigenous Rights and Inequality.
