How the Lying by US and Allied Media Endangers the Entire World’s Economy

On April 2nd, the Russian language business newspaper Vedemosti headlined, as translated into English, “Xi Jinping called the Taiwan issue A Red Line in Relations with the United States”, and opened with,

The Taiwan Issue is the Main Red Line in Relations between China and the United States, Which can Not Be Crossed, Chinese President Xi Jinping Said during A Telephone Conversation with US President Joe Biden, A Transcript of Which was Published on the Website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Earlier this year, Bloomberg News had published a lengthy analysis of what the Cost would be to each Nation’s Economy and to the entire World’s Economy if a War will result between the United States and China regarding the issue of Taiwan’s Independence. That article provided a superb example of US and Allied Propaganda against China. It pumped for this War, at the same time as it acknowledged that such a War would be an Economic catastrophe for the entire World.

That article, on 9 January 2024, “Xi, Biden and the $ 10 Trillion Cost of War over Taiwan”, opened,

War over Taiwan would Have A Cost in Blood and Treasure So Vast that Even Those Unhappiest with the Status Quo have Reason Not to Risk it. Bloomberg Economics Estimate the Price Tag at around $ 10 trillion, Equal to about 10% of Global GDP, Dwarfing the Blow from the War in Ukraine, COVID Pandemic and Global Financial Crisis.

It honestly exlained how and why that was so, BUT also included the gratuitous and crucial Lie, that, “For Beijing, Which views the Island as Part of Its Territory,” as if the US Government doesn’t “View the Island as Part of China’s Territory” which is a blatant Lie.

In 1972, the US Government signed an agreement with China’s Government that “Taiwan is A Part of China. The United States Government does Not Challenge that Position,” but now is doing everything it can to encourage Taiwan’s Elected Leaders to declare Taiwan to be an Independent Country and is Even Arming Taiwan for that very same purpose. Moreover, even now, on 30 July 2023, the US Government explicitly reaffirmed this, by saying,

The US Side Explicitly Declared in the Shanghai Communiqué released in 1972 that “The United States Acknowledges that All Chinese on Either Side of the Taiwan Strait Maintain There is But One China and that Taiwan is A Part of China. The United States Government does Not Challenge that Position.”

“Taiwan is A Part of China.” That is the US Government’s position. Why, then, is the US Government Arming that Island and encouraging its Political Leaders to announce that Taiwan is NOT a Part of China. The more that America’s Armaments Manufacturers sell, the more that the US Government’s Officials will get in donations from the billionaires who control those Manufacturers and so enable these US Officials to win their ‘Elections’, first come the ‘Elections’ by those Armament invested billionaires, and Then come the ‘Elections’ by the public, in this ‘Democracy’. In Russia and China the Armaments Manufacturers are still owned by the Government, not by private investors, and so their Purpose is to win Wars, but in the US and its colonies, the purpose of the Armaments Manufacturers isn’t to win Wars but to increase their Sales volumes and Profits, at the public’s expense. And yet, how many times have you heard or read that a ‘News’ person asked Biden or Anthony Blinken or other US Official ”Why is the US Government Arming A Province of China and Encouraging it to Declare Itself to Be Instead an Independnt Country, Decades after Having Committed Itself to the Belief that ’Taiwan is A Part of China’?”

So: when Bloomberg ‘News’ ‘reported that, “For Beijing, Which views the Island as Part of Its Territory,” when The Official Position of the US Government is that “Taiwan is A Part of China,” that is to Lie, so as to deceive readers to believe, the US Government DOES NOT believe that “Taiwan is A Part of China.” It is, furthermore, to be doing the Marketing Job for the US ‘Defense’ Contractors, by pumping for a War between China and the United States. Is Michael Bloomberg personally invested in any of those ‘Defense’ Contractors?

The complete sentence there, and the two sentences immediately following it, were,

For Beijing, Which views the Island as Part of its Territory, Any Formal Push for Independence would Cross A Red Line. At his Meeting with Biden, Xi Expressed Deep Concern about the Possibility of A Lai Ching Te Win, According to A Senior Administration Official. The DPP [Democratic Progressive Party, the US funded and victorious Party in the latest Taiwan Elections] Counterpoint, Which Aligns with the Assessment in Washington, is that Beijing’s Belligerence is the Problem, Not Taiwan’s Desire for Continued Autonomy.

The term “Belligerence” is used there not to describe the US Government, which is pumping for War against China, but instead China, which is doing all it can in order to PREVENT such a War.

So: what’s important isn’t only what is falsely stated or implied in a ‘News’ report, but is Also what is NOT being reported, because THAT is Especially what enables its audience to UNDERSTAND what is actually going on.

Similarly, whereas in the 2003 US Invasion of Iraq that destroyed Iraq, and in the 2014 Coup in Ukraine that installed in that till then Neutral Ukraine its present Anti Russian Government, and in the current Israel American Genocide against Gazans, what is crucial for understanding Isn’t what is being reported, but what is NOT being reported. And they call this a ‘Democracy’. And ‘A Free Press’. And say that Russia’s Putin and China’s Xi are ‘Autocrats’ or ‘Dictators’ but OUR leaders are NOT.

The result of these Lies is extremely dangerous. But they are also extremely profitable for the billionaires who fund and require them. Otherwise, it wouldn’t happen, especially it wouldn’t almost Always happen, as it does.
