How National Propaganda Radio (NPR) Reports About Covid and Ivermectin
On September 21st, NPR’s “All Things Considered” had a Segment.
Titled “How Ivermectin Ended Up In The Middle Of A COVID 19 Controversy” and reported by Pien Huang.
She totally Ignored – didn’t mention at all – the Actual Scientific Research Studies that have been done Comparing the Disease Outcomes of Covid Patients who have been Receiving Ivermectin versus the Patients Who Haven’t. That should have been what her Report was focusing on, but instead she Totally Ignored that Question, and the Interviewer (the Program Host) never even raised the Question with her.
Here are those Data, All of Which she Ignored.
On September 22nd, “Ivermectin for COVID 19: Real Time Meta Analysis of 64 Studies” reported that
“Meta Analysis using the Most Serious Outcome Reported shows 68% [52 – 78%] and 86% [75 – 92%] Improvement for Early Treatment and pPophylaxis, with Similar Results after Exclusion based Sensitivity Analysis and Restriction to Peer Reviewed Studies or Randomized Controlled Trials.”
“Statistically Significant Improvements are Seen for Mortality, Ventilation, Hospitalization, Recovery, Cases, and Viral Clearance. 29 Studies show Statistically Significant improvements in Isolation.”
“Results are Very Robust – in Worst Case Exclusion Sensitivity Analysis 53 of 64 Studies must be Excluded to Avoid Finding statistically Effective Efficacy.”
Furthermore There is Evidence of a Negative Publication Bias, and the Probability that an Ineffective Treatment Generated Results as Positive as the 64 Studies is Estimated to be One in 222 bBllion.” That was an Updated Version of this Peer Reviewed Published Study in the AMERICAN JOURNAL OF THERAPEUTICS, July | August 2021
“CONCLUSION
Moderate Certainty Evidence finds that Large Reductions in COVID 19 Deaths are Possible using Ivermectin. Using Ivermectin Early in the Clinical Course may Reduce Numbers Progressing to Severe Disease. The Apparent Safety and Low Cost suggest that Ivermectin is Likely to have a Significant Impact on the SARS CoV 2 Pandemic Globally.”
Specifically “Meta Analysis of 15 Trials found that Ivermectin Reduced Risk of Death Compared with No Ivermectin (Average Risk Ratio 0.38, 95% Confidence Interval 0.19 – 0.73; n = 2438; I2 = 49%; Moderate Certainty Evidence). This Result was Confirmed in a Trial Sequential Analysis using the Same DerSimonian Laird Method that Underpinned the Unadjusted Analysis. This was also Robust against a Trial Sequential Analysis using the Biggerstaff Tweedie Method. Low Certainty Evidence Found that ivermectin Prophylaxis Reduced COVID 19 Infection by an Average 86% (95% Confidence Interval 79% – 91%). (…) Severe Adverse Events were Rare among Treatment Trials.”
The Article’s “DISCUSSION” closes: “Given the Evidence of Efficacy, Safety, Low Cost, and Current Death Rates, iIermectin is Likely to have an Impact on Health and Economic Outcomes of the Pandemic across Many Countries. Ivermectin is Not a New and Experimental Drug with an Unknown Safety Profile. It is a WHO ‘Essential Medicine’ Already Used in Several Different Indications, In Colossal Cumulative Volumes. Corticosteroids have become an Accepted Standard of Care in COVID 19, Based on a Single RCT of Dexamethasone.1 If a Single RCT is Sufficient for the Adoption of Dexamethasone, then A Fortiori the Evidence of Two Dozen RCTs supports the Adoption of Ivermectin.”
Instead of Reporting Anything of the Actual Science, Pien Huang, with the Full Cooperation of the Program Host, Started and Stuck with the Assumption that Anyone who would be Using Ivermectin in Order to Reduce the Severity of an Active Case of Covid 19 Disease is an Ignoramus. In other words: Confirmation Bias was reeking from her Presentation. The Program Host did at one Point ask the Question “Is there Reason to Believe that Ivermectin Works Against Covid 19?” Huang answered: “Well, there was a Study Last Spring which Showed that ivermectin Can Kill the Conoa Virus, but In Doses Way Bigger than Humans should be Using” and “There is Insufficient Evidence to Recommend this Product at this Time. There is a small group of doctors who claim otherwise. They call themselves ‘The Frontline Critical Care Alliance’ and their Message has been amplified by some figures on the right. (…) Misinformation Researchers have told me that it’s the Latest Chapter in a Story of Right Wing Commentators (…)”
The Reporter, Huang, Ignored the Science, and was Vague about what Studies were the Basis for her Prejudices and for her Beliefs against Using Ivermectin in Treating Cases of Covid 19 Disease. She Failed to iIdentify even a Single Study as the Basis for her Belief. The Program Host wasn’t taken Aback by That. And there is No Indication that the Powers That Be (the People who do the Hiring and the Firing) at National Propaganda Radio are Disturbed at the Astounding Low Quality of Their On Air eEmployees, and of Their Editors, and of their Research Staffs (if any). Perhaps if NPR’s Audience are Satisfied with those People’s Journalistic Performances, this is Considered to be Acceptable “Journalism” in America. But that wouldn’t make it Acceptable Journalism in a Democracy, which depends upon there being an Accurately Informed Public (something that’s Impossible under These Ccircumstances).
I Do Not Write This as a Proponent of Ivermectin for Covid Treatment. But the Low Quality of Journalism in America Disturbs Me; and, Apparently, it doesn’t Sufficiently Disturb its Audiences. NPR is No Better and No Worse than the Average in America, but that Average is Stunningly Low, and that NPR Segment was an Easy Example by which To Display this Fact.
America, with 4.21% of World’s Population, Has 16% of Covid 19 Deaths, Why?
The US has 3.85 Times as High a Percentage of its Population Killed from the Covid 19 Virus as does the Entire World. Whereas America has had 2,158 Covid 19 Deaths per million Population, the World has had 617 Covid 19 deaths per million Population. Thus far, there have been 719,615 such US Deaths, and 4,481,499 Global Deaths. America, with 4.21% of the World’s Population, accounts for 16% of all Covid 19 Deaths. Of course, if it were an Average Country, it would account for 4.21%. That’s How Bad America’s Performance has Aatually been.
On 15 September 2020, Pew headlined their Global Poll “US Image Plummets Internationally as Most Say Country Has Handled Coronavirus Badly”.
On 22 April 2020, I had headlined “Why Post Corona Virus America Will Have Massive Poverty”, and explained that the US Government, in the Policies that it was putting into place, was Concerned about Both the Public and its Billionaires, but was Far More Concerned to Bail Out the Billionaires than to Protect the Public; and, so, the Billionaires would Boom, their Stock Markets would Benefit enormously by the Going Out of Business of the Owners of Smaller Firms, even while millions of Americans would Lose their Jobs and increasingly the Homeless Population would Grow. I explained why the extremely Poor Publicm Health System in the United States would increasingly become Overburdened and that People would increasingly Die, for reasons such as – because of the Relative Lack of US Protections of the Public – Workers would be increasingly desperate to Stay at Work even when they know that they might Get the Covid Disease Themselves and or Spread it to their Co Workers and to People they serve at Restaurants, et cetera: they would Stay Employed where they are for as long as possible. This would Produce in America exceptionally High Ratios of the US Population becoming Infected with the Virus and Transmitting it to Others.
So, it has all happened, though more slowly than I had expected it to happen.
In 2000, America’s Ratio of Government Debt to GDP was 70%. In 2016, it was 120%. In 2000, America’s Ratio of federal Government Debt to GDP was 55%, and that became 105% in 2016. After 2016, there wasn’t Much Change in those Ratios, but No Figures have yet been released after 2019 – in other words, During the Covid Crisis. However, the Federal Government has Released to the Public that, “In Fiscal Year 2020 the Federal Deficit was $ 3,129 billion. But the Gross Federal Debt increased by $ 4,230 billion”; and, “This year, Fiscal Year 2021, the Federal Government in its Latest Budget has estimated that the Deficit will be $ 3,669 billion.” A Chart there also shows that the Federal Deficit in 2019 was $ 1,000 billion ($ 1 Trillion), but that in 2020, that Exploded Upward to a Little over $ 3,000 billion ($ 3 Trillion). All of this Explosion Added to the Federal Debt. Most of the Additional Money to the Nation’s Debt became Added to the Wealth of Billionaires and Centi Millionaires; the Rest of It went to Everybody Else. One of the Extreme Realities about the American Government is that it protects the Richest – Billionaires and Centi Millionaires – Against Risks, more than it protects the Public (Overwhelmingly their Workers) Against Risks; and, in This Way, the Richest in this Country (the Investors) are Shielded against Risks Far More than the Citizenry at Large are. Workers here get the Worst: the Highest Risks, and No Controlling Ownership of any Major Corporation. The Richest get Controlling Ownerships in Major Corporations, plus the Lowest Risks of Anyone.
Incidentally: Federal Debt in 2019 – the latest year Reported by the US Government – was $ 22,669 Billion or $ 22.67 Trillion. So, in 2020, it became $ 4,230 Billion Higher, or $ 26.87 Trillion, an Annual Increase Rate of 18.5%. The Federal Government has already Calculated these Facts, but still hasn’t Yet Released them to the Public.
These Facts are Typical with Oligarchies – Countries that are Controlled by their Billionaires, or “Aristocrats.” Most Countries are like this, but the Fact that America, with 4.21% of the World’s Population, has 16% of the World’s Covid 19 Deaths, shows that America is More like This than Most Countries are. A Few Countries are Even Worse than America.
In such Countries, lots of People are More Desperate, in the Covid Era, than they were before, but, also, many of the few People who aren’t, nonetheless don’t Much Mind High Risk, because in a Culture that Rewards Owning Businesses more than it rewards Working for Businesses, Risk Taking is Respected, and Actual Work is Less Valued. Thus, in America, the Poor are Despised, No Matter How Hard they Work. This, too, is Common in Oligarchies. That’s why their Goverment protects them from Risks. The Rich have Inculcated into the Public a Respect for the Rich, and a Contempt for the Poor.
America is a Typical Oligarchy, except that it’s Bigger than Most.
And, so, this is my Cultural and Economic Explanation of why America, with 4.21% of World’s Population, Has 16% of Covid 19 Deaths.

This Site also documents that whereas China’s Covid 19 Death Rate per million iInhabitants, thus far, has been 3, and that the same Figure in the United States is 2,158 – it’s 719 Times Higher. Peru has the World’s Worst Performance, 5,945, which is 198 Times Higher than China’s.
How many of those 20 Countries are Authentic Democracies? Is Any of Them, Really? If the Public Respect “Entrepreneurs” more than they Respect “Workers,” then what is the Actual Likelihood that the Nation will actually be a Democracy? Aren’t they really bowing down to their Aristocracy? They’ve Evidently been Successfully Indoctrinated, by the Aristocracy. And, they’re Now Dying, as a Result of This – they are Dying because of their Culture’s Accepting (instead of Condemning) this Aristocratic Indoctrination.
223 Countries are Listed, but some of them have fewer than 10,000 Residents. None of the Worst 20 Countries are that Small. In fact, the Best Performing of All Countries of over 5,000,000 Population is the World’s Most Populous Country, China, which has a “Zero Tolerance” Policy on Covid 19, and a Rigorous Scientific System In Place to Carry Out that Policy. So, China is at the Exact Opposite End from the 20 Nations that are Listed Above. Perhaps, over the Long Term, this might Turn Out to have been China’s Biggest Advantage as an International Economic Competitor. But, instead of the US Government’s Praising and Emulating China, the US Government is now trying to Dictate to China, and – unless China Obeys – to Overthrow its Government, and to Grab Control, over Taiwan, and also over China’s Coastal Waters. America operates a Global Empire, but its Billionaires are Never Satisfied, and are Determined for It to Encompass Every Nation. The Billionaires Control Their Government; the American Public Do Not.

US Government Had Hired Wuhan Laboratory to Create SARS CoV 2 Virus, Which Causes COVID 19 Disease
On October 23rd, the Zero Hedge News Site broke to the Public Direct Evidence, from an Anonymous Leaker, showing that the US Government has been lying to say that it had Not been Funding Research to find, in Animal Populations, Viruses that could then be Manipulated in Laboratories to a “Gain of [Viral] Function” (Unnaturally Increased Communicability, and Deadliness, to Humans).
Back on 21 September 2021, a Pro Imperialist (War Loving – especially Against China) UK Newspaper, The Telegraph, had Headlined “Wuhan Scientists Planned To Release Corona Virus Particles into Cave Bats, Leaked Papers reveal: Documents reveal Researchers applied for $ 14 million to Fund Controversial Project in 2018”, but Provided No Useful Links to any Relevant Evidence, and Offered Only Few Details. However, the 21 October 2021 Zero Hedge Blockbuster News Report, headlined “NIH Admits Funding Gain Of Function COVID Experiments; Gives EcoHealth Five Days To Report Data”, was Far More Detailed, and Included Links to All of Its Evidence, and is therefore the Big Breakthrough on this Enormous News Story. Unlike the Telegraph’s Headline, which Misleadingly pretends that this is Solely a Matter of Culpability by China’s Government, and which made No Reference to the Research’s Foreign Funding (by the US Government), the Zero Hedge News Report makes Very Clear that this Research had been Funded by the US Government. Those Funds, and US Government Intentions, were Paying the Wuhan China Biological Laboratory to do this Research, to find whether and how Animal Viruses in Nature could be Manipulated in a Laboratory to become Communicable to, and Deadly to Humans (“Gain of Function”). Zero Hedge also provided, by way of lLnks, the Direct Evidence that the US Government has been Lying, all along, To Deny that they had had Anything to Do with Any Such “Gain of [Viral] Function” Research..
Back on 3 February 2020, the Anti Imperialist Magazine in India, Great Game India, Headlined “Dr Francis Boyle Creator Of BioWeapons Act Says Coronavirus Is Biological Warfare Weapon”, and opened: “In an Explosive Interview DrFrancis Boyle, who Drafted the Biological Weapons Act has given a Detailed Statement Admitting that the 2019 Wuhan Coronavirus is an Offensive Biological Warfare Weapon and that the World Health Organization (WHO) Already Knows about It.”
Five Years Earlier, on 12 November 2015, Nature Journal had Bannered ‘Engineered Bat Virus stirs Debate over Risky Research: Lab Made Corona Virus Related to SARS can Infect Human Cells.” They reported Summarizing that Journal’s Technical Article, Three Days Prior, which had been Authored by 15 Researchers: 10 at UNC Chapel Hill; 2 at the Wuhan Lab; and 1 each at FDA, Harvard Medical School, and the Bellinzona Institute of Microbiology, Zurich, Switzerland:
In an Article published in Nature Medicine1 on 9 November, scientists investigated a virus called SHC014, which is found in horseshoe bats in China. The researchers created a chimaeric virus, made up of a surface protein of SHC014 and the backbone of a SARS virus that had been adapted to grow in mice and to mimic human disease. The chimaera infected human airway cells — proving that the surface protein of SHC014 has the necessary structure to bind to a key receptor on the cells and to infect them. It also caused disease in mice, but did not kill them.
Although almost all coronaviruses isolated from bats have not been able to bind to the key human receptor, SHC014 is not the first that can do so. In 2013, researchers reported this ability for the first time in a different coronavirus isolated from the same bat population2.
Nature article also noted that, “The study findings ‘move this virus from a candidate emerging pathogen to a clear and present danger’, says Peter Daszak, who co-authored the 2013 paper. Daszak is president of the EcoHealth Alliance, an international network of scientists, headquartered in New York City, that samples viruses from animals and people in emerging-diseases hotspots across the globe.”
The documentation provided by Zero Hedge focuses especially upon that British Ph.D in parasitic infectious diseases, Peter Daszak, who led the U.S. Government’s operation, to create a virus such as the one that causes COVID-19 disease. The Zero Hedge news-report opens:

Non Profit which conducted it, Eco Health Alliance – led by the Controversial Peter Daszak, “Failed to Report” that they had Created a Chimeric bat Corona Virus which could infect Humans.
In a :Letter Addressed to Republican James Comer (Kentucky), NIH Principal Deputy Director Lawrence A Tabak cites a “Limited Experiment” to determine whether “Spike Proteins from ¨ circulating in China were Capable of Binding to the Human ACE2 Receptor in a Mouse Model.” According to the Letter, Humanized Mice Infected with the Modified Bat Virus “Became Sicker” Than Those Exposed to an Unmodified Version of the Same Bat Corona Virus.
Failed to Report this Finding, and has been Given Five Days To Submit “Any and All Unpublished Data from the Experiments and Work Conducted” under the NIH Grant.

The DARPA, Defense Advance Research Projects Agency, was the First US Government Agency that Daszak’s Team sought to Fund this Research, but Turned Down the Proposal. Instead, NIH, the National Institutes of Health, Took It Up and Backed It. The Subcontracting of this Research to a Chinese Government Biological Laboratory, in Wuhan, doesn’t seem to make sense in the Context of the US Government’s Increasing Hostility, during the Obama and Subsequent Administrations, toward China. However, if the Intent was to have China be Blamed for the Coming Plague, then the Intentions of Daszak, and of His Funders, have Turned Out to be Exactly what was Intended – they have been Stunningly Successful. On 28 My 2020, I headlined “The Stupid Insanity of Biological Warfare Research & Development”, and Documented that the US Government Pioneered Bio Warfare in 1952 trying to Use It against North Korea, and has Led the World in this Research Ever Since. Whomever the Anonymous Leaker of these Data in Zero Hedge might have been, that Person (as such Leakers usually do) Probably Doing This as The Only Available Means of Exposing a Scandal within the US Government Itself. History has Shown that Such Leakers Generally Become Severely Punished for Their Patriotic Action. Traitorism Rewarded, but Patriotism is Usually Severely Punished, by the US Government.
