Gepubliceerd op 14 apr. 2012
Nits performing live at the Luxor Live theatre in Arnhem thursday 12th of april 2012.
Robert-Jan Stips was absent and temporary replaced by Laetitia van Krieken who also toured with the band during the Alankomaat tour.
A song about Rob Scholte, the Dutch painter who lost his legs when a bomb exploded in his car in 1994.
It is still unknown who did it and why.
Guitarist/singer Henk Hofstede has known Rob for quite some time and he wrote this angry song about the situation:
Crime & Punishment
The beauty of the town takes my breath away.
Sunlight’s cutting houses in two.
The beast of the town brings only death.
He’s cutting a man in two.
My heart is so empty, my head is so full.
I cannot understand why they blew up a car
With a man and his wife
Crime & Punishment
Cut me like you cut a flower
Burn me like you burn a tree.
The lines in my face
The nails in my hand.
Crime & Punishment
Give me one reason when the truth is a lie
Don’t take my body when I offer you my hand
2 Crime & Punishment
My heart is so empty, my head is so full
I cannot understand why they blew up a car
With a man and his wife.
Crime & Punishment
