In his presentation for the family members of the victims, Ronald explained he sees monuments as something that overtakes you with respect for the tragedy, even if you never lived it. This is seen in the size of the monument and the ensurerance of silence because of the echos caused by the curved wall. The symbolism in the design, gently brings every aspect of mourning to bid.
