The Victory of Faith (1933) is the first documentary film directed by Leni Riefenstahl. It documents the Fifth NSDAP Nuremberg Congress shortly after the party came to power. Thanks to my new volunteer, Dawson for colourising this film and sending it to me. The film includes Ernst Röhm, head of the SA and, at the time, the second most powerful man within the NSDAP Party. Less than a year later, Röhm attempted, along with other top SA members, a Military coup against the elected government of Hitler. The film Triumph of the Will, on this channel below, was produced to replace this one and follows a similar script. This film recounts the Fifth Party Rally of the Nazi Party, which occurred in Nuremberg from 30 August to 3 September 1933. The film is of great historic interest because it shows Adolf Hitler and Ernst Röhm on close and intimate terms, before Röhm was shot on 1 July 1934.
