The Maria films tells the tale of an art student who (among other things) wants to sublimate her history of violence trough art and becoming an artist. In June 2021, we screened the Beta Version of this film on the walls of the art-academy that wanted to cancel her project because it made people feel unsafe. We are still in the proces of making this film because of developments I want to incorporate: Maria is getting married, she is living and working in the UNSAFE HOUSE now (an art-residency founded by artist Tarik Sadouma), and her paintings are evolving. We also filmed an hilarious action scene where we chase Maria’s teacher (the guy who advised against the project).
