This is Marion van Wijk, my long time partner in recent Art History, say 25 years of straight labor in love & affection towards matters like blue, red and yellow, that really count in human life, which is all about the greening of things, especially on the internet, giving the explosion of sex in a century like ours, that is crucial to the survival of our planet as we know it. The enormous increase of the world population as a consequence of fear, danger and insecurity as a motive for sexual action mainly of the kind of male agression aimed at female obedience towards the fucking screw program, cannot be stopped by good intentions alone. It is a boring game in the view of the apes of this planet. Stupid males cannot be avoided. Sometimes they must be confronted by (…)?

Koos, ik heb telefonisch contact gehad met de Astrid en er is waarschijnlijk meer materiaal uit die tijd van Bas Jan.

Liesbeth, zal het dan maar ff gaan doorgeven eej. Zeer dank je wel. Er was gister een mail uit Washington DC.
Er is nu uit de research daar de naam opgedoken van een allereerste Amerikaanse vriendin van Bas Jan Ader , gedurende zijn Exchange jaar 1960-1961. Ze zijn tot 1966 blijven corresponderen, maar het is nooit wat geworden. Nu blijkt, dat ze niet naar Marokko wilde komen, waar Bas Jan naar toe was gelift en op haar zat te wachten. Haar ouders waren bang voor haar reputatie.
Toen is Bas Jan gaan zoeken naar een boot om de oceaan over te steken. Dat is , met enige vindingrijkheid in tijden van ontberingen op zee, ook allemaal gelukt.
Eenmaal aan de westkust, kwam Bas Jan al snel Mary Sue Andersen tegen…
Maar het allereerste werk uit die Art School in Bethesda is wel bewaard gebleven en moet, heb ik begrepen, voor een deel nog in de collectie van Museum Boymans zitten!
