De Democraten, die fervente voorstanders zijn van open grenzen, worden door Trump voor het blok gezet: hij wil hun grootste wens vervullen, namelijk al degenen, die nu, aangemoedigd door de Democraten, illegaal de VS binnenkomen, en dat zijn er meer dan 1000 per dag, die aangehouden worden, te brengen naar zogenaamde ‘Sanctuary Cities’, door de Democraten gecreëerde vrijplaatsen, waar illegalen welkom zijn en niet hoeven te vrezen voor agenten van de gevreesde en door de Democraten als fascistisch neergezette ICE. Je zou zeggen: het is het beste van Both Worlds: de illegalen willen naar deze vrijplaatsen en gaan er uit zichzelf naar toe, wanneer ze worden vrijgelaten door de grenspolitie in afwachting van hun proces.

De radicale Democraten vinden het niet erg, dat Trump dit wil doen, want het is inderdaad wat zij willen, want zij hebben het beste met de illegalen voor en de beste plek voor illegalen zijn deze door de Democraten gecreëerde vrijplaatsen.

Uit de antwoorden blijkt de diepe verdeeldheid over dit onderwerp. Terwijl de ene spreekt van het meest onzinnige voorstel, dat de gehate Donald tot nu heeft voorgesteld, prijst een ander het de hemel in. Zo schrijft Penelope Drakos: ‘This is the most sensible proposal he has ever made. You can’t possibly be more democratic than giving immigrants to the progressive cities who want them and keeping them away from the conservative cities who don’t want them. What’s the matter? You love immigration but you don’t want them near your daughter? You should be accepting this with open arms, unless you have been disingenuous this whole time.’
