De Jussie Smollett Hoax is een nieuwe fase ingegaan. De voorheen onbekende acteur van de serie Empire, waar bijna niemand naar kijkt, is ‘vrijgesproken’ in zijn woorden van de 16 aanklachten tegen hem uitgebracht en houdt zijn onschuld vol. Maar aangezien hij de $ 10.000 van de ‘bail bond’ kwijt is en sprake is van 16 uur ‘community service’, is het duidelijk dat hij helemaal niet onschuldig is. De Chicago Police, die toch al onder vuur ligt voor corruptie, voelt zich in zijn hemd gezet en gaf een persconferentie, waarbij zelfs de Democratische burgemeester van Chicago Rahm Emanuel (https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahm_Emanuel) het voor de politie opnam en sprak over ‘whitewashing’ en klassejustitie en hij wil nu zelfs $ 130.000 van Smollett eisen voor gemaakte kosten.
Het probleem is niet dat Jussie Smollett er zo licht vanaf komt, maar het feit, dat hij blijft volhouden dat hij onschuldig is en dat nu de ‘Nigeriaanse’ broers geïmpliceerd worden, die nu als leugenaars worden neergezet. De zaak is ver van over, want Jussie heeft tegen veel schenen geschopt, maar hij wordt gesteund door de Obama kliek, dus het is onduidelijk of de overname van de zaak door de FBI, waarover zelfs Trump twitterde, ergens toe zal leiden. Ook wil Trump dat de FBI de aanklagers (o.a. Kim Foxx), die de zaak hebben laten vallen en verzegelen en uitwissen, gaat onderzoeken.
De nieuwe ontwikkeling leidde weer tot een explosie van video’s op YouTube, letterlijk honderden, en het was onmogelijk om alles te bekijken. Ook nu zijn vrijwel alle video’s van mensen, die boos zijn over de gang van zaken, en allerlei redenen worden gezocht om dit ‘onrecht’ te verklaren, zoals ‘rich privilege’ of ‘leftist privilege’, etc.

Jussie is ondertussen terug in L.A., zijn onschuld uitkraaiend, om mee te doen aan een verkiezing voor de NAACP Image Award en maakt grote kans om te winnen. Daarentegen lijkt het besluit van Empire om hem te handhaven verkeerd uit te pakken en zijn de kijkcijfers van de show gedaald.
Het laten gaan van Jussie is zo merkwaardig, dat sommigen het idee opwerpen, dat hij geklikt heeft over misstanden in Hollywood, verbonden met Chicago, waar seksslaven vandaan komen voor de beroemdheden.
