Alex Hofford – 🇭🇰 Teens arrested by Hong Kong riot police during Hong Kong protests

Gepubliceerd op 5 aug. 2019

A teenage boy and girl are arrested by Hong Kong riot police during ongoing anti-Extradition protests in the Wong Tai Sin area of Kowloon in Hong Kong. The boy bleeds from his nose as he is insulted by police, whilst a frail girl is traumatised as a medic holds, cuddles and pats her on the back as if comforting a baby. Later, as the girl panics, two male policemen begin to point and shout at her prior to her arrest and being led away for essentially being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is likely that the pair of teenagers will face rioting charges, which under Hong Kong’s outdated public order laws, carry a maximum of ten years jail time. During the episode the police try to prevent media from filming, and the girl at 12:57 says “the press has a right to film me!
